Rough day? Take some time for yourself and wind down for the night. This is so important especially when stress takes a toll on your body and mind. I try to take a bath with Epsom Salts or aromatherapy bubble bath every night. It sounds so simple, but it really is a relaxing way to end a chaotic day and have a moment alone. You can enhance your ritual by lighting a few candles and keeping dim light, and keeping the room quiet. Or you can set your phone to some relaxing music as well. Bath salts are known to relieve sore muscles and help detoxify the body. With this, it’s important to keep yourself hydrated, because detoxing in any way can cause dehydration.
I sometimes like to have a cup of herbal tea before bed to help aid in relaxation and keep me hydrated while I sleep. Some of my favorites are peppermint tea which aids in better digestion, or chamomile- which helps the body wind down and promotes better sleep.
Also, to amp up your me time you can do a face mask while in the bath, the steam helps to open your pores so the mask can penetrate deeper. This is something I LOVE to do and I do it every time I take a bath if I can. Plus, if you’re like me, stress wreaks havoc on my whole body, including my face.
