So, I do not consider myself a pro; or even that good at makeup, but a lot of girls and friends always seem to think I am so I figured I would do a little overview of what products I use. Thanks beauties!! I will be doing a YouTube tutorial on this look so keep your eye out for that. Let’s get started!! (All of this comes after applying my moisturizer & sunscreen)
Foundation:
For foundation I use Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Foundation, This has become my new favorite, because its matte and it just leaves a really good finish to the skin. It is full coverage, however; you can still get a more medium coverage out of it by changing up the tool you use to apply it. I use a damp beauty blender for more full coverage or a stipple brush for a medium coverage.
Bronzer/Sculpting:
I like my bronzer to be pretty matte and cooler toned, I use Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer Powder in Lite and the Original color. Depending on what color my skin is, if I am tan or using darker makeup I use the original shade. I place this on the hollows of my cheeks, dust it across my nose, and around the sides of my forehead and temples.
Blush:
My favorite blush... well I have two. I mainly use Nars Orgasm, but sometimes it isn’t quite as pigmented as I prefer my blush to be and it is on the peachier side and sometimes I am not feeling peachy tones. So for example if I am more tan or I want a little more bright color, I use Urban Decay After Glow Blush in a bright pink shade.
Brows:
Even if I’m not wearing makeup, I NEED MY BROWS TO BE ON POINT. I have so many people tell me they want my brows. So, let me tell you how I achieve killer brows. (Now if you don’t have bushy thick eyebrows to start like me, you may have to color them in more)
I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the color Ebony, this is the best pencil I have ever used, it is perfect for creating a natural hair like stroke. I ONLY use this on the parts of my brow that are thinner. Then I take Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer (gel) on top. This stuff is my secret to natural thick brows!! It adds tiny fibers to your brows to make them thicker, and its colored which is ever better. I apply this to the whole brow in upwards strokes.
Eye shadow primer:
I love using a primer before eyeshadow, especially one with a little shimmer because I use a lot of glitter shadows, and they really make them pop and look more pigmented. Plus, they hold your shadows on longer without creases. I use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in SIN. (You can also use the same concealer I mentioned above for a subtler primer, although it may crease after a few hours).
Eye Shadow:
I usually tend to stick to the same type of eye look, with a couple variations. Normally I like a gold and brown vibe (great for blue eyes). I use a couple different pallets to achieve it. I follow specific steps no matter what colors; starting from the inner corner, I put the lightest color and then I gradually get darker as I reach the outside of my eye. (I will show you how in my tutorial) These are my favorite pallets:
Mascara:
When you find a mascara that works for you, stick with it. The ones I use consistently are Maybelline Volum Express Collosal Cat Eyes Mascara and Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Both of these helps you to achieve long full lashes.
Highlighter:
I put this on the top of my cheekbones, on my brow bone under my brow, and down the center of my nose. I like Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in OPAL , and Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Highlighter in STUNNER.
